Lyceum Kennedy offers its students not only a rich curriculum that combines the best of the French and American educational approaches, but also a wide range of programs that create an enriching and enjoyable environment for students outside the classroom.
With a wide range of afterschool enrichment classes, our afterschool program helps children to grow physically, artistically, and intellectually. Activities we have offered in the past include choir, chess, soccer, science, gymnastics, arts, dance, acting, and more; activities vary by trimester.
We also offer homework help. A full list of classes and fees appears every September, December, and April.
Vacation Program (Ardsley Campus)
Our vacation program operates during most school breaks. In addition to a full day of arts and crafts, games, sports, cooking, and playtime, this program always includes a field trip related to the program theme—for example, ice skating or a visit to the aquarium.
French Summer Program
Lyceum Kennedy’s French Summer Program provides children with a unique opportunity to improve or learn their French while having fun. Students are grouped according to age and language proficiency.
Each weeklong session follows a theme, which allows students to acquire language skills and cultural knowledge through activities such as sports, drama, music, nutrition, cooking, or arts and crafts, all in a friendly and stimulating environment.
Our French Supplementary Program is designed for children (from pre-K to ninth grade) who are already fluent in French and are currently following the American curriculum. Our program closely follows the curriculum used in French schools. Students attend class at school once a week; daily homework maintains and strengthens their knowledge and mastery of French.
French for Beginners (Ardsley Campus)
This group class is designed for non-French speakers age from five to twelve. Each class is tailored to the needs of the students enrolled.
