Lyceum Kennedy French American School

Cycle 1 - Preschool (Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten)

Lyceum Kennedy’s Preschool program provides children with a unique bilingual experience.  Our curriculum follows the complete program from the French Ministry of Education and the New York State Education Department.

Every class is taught by 2 early childhood experts; one native French speaker and one native English speaker, as well as a bilingual assistant.  Children in our program spend 50% of their time immersed in French and 50% of their time immersed in English (2.5 days in French and 2.5 days in English)

Because we believe that each child is unique and develops at his/her own pace, our early childhood team has designed a program that encourages the children to create, play and explore the world around them.  Through activities that challenge and captivate young minds, we instill a lifelong desire to learn. Our curriculum covers six areas: language arts, mathematics, scientific thinking, social studies, physical education, the arts (music and visual art), and social and emotional development.  Our daily schedule includes activities that are both child centered and teacher directed

Since 2016, Lyceum Kennedy has been offering nursery class parents a flexible schedule.  Nursery Parents can choose to send their child 5 mornings, 3 full days or 5 full days.
